2025 China-Kyrgyzstan Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion Conference & Unveiling Ceremony of Economic and Trade Cooperation Center Held in Chongqing
On September 26, 2025, the "China-Kyrgyzstan Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion Conference & Unveiling Ceremony of Economic and Trade Cooperation Center" was grandly held in the multi-function hall on the 4th floor of the Belt and Road Commodity Exhibition and Trade Center in Chongqing Free Trade Port Area. As a key local foreign trade export enterprise in Chongqing deeply engaged in markets along the Belt and Road, Chongqing Shumao Tong Technology Co., Ltd. was invited to attend the event. Together with government representatives from China and Kyrgyzstan, chamber of commerce leaders, and more than 100 Chinese and foreign enterprises, the company witnessed the launch of this new cooperation platform and jointly explored new opportunities for bilateral economic and trade development.
At the event site, representatives from Kyrgyzstan gave a detailed introduction to the country’s current investment environment and industrial support policies: In the energy sector, Kyrgyzstan is rich in hydropower and mineral resources and is seeking international cooperation for the development of small and medium-sized energy projects and the supply of supporting equipment; In the agricultural sector, Kyrgyzstan’s characteristic agricultural products such as organic wheat, honey, and nuts are in urgent need of expanding overseas markets, requiring the establishment of a stable export supply chain; In the tourism sector, the development of China-Kyrgyzstan cross-border tourism routes has been included in Kyrgyzstan’s key planning, with an urgent need for investment in supporting industries such as tourism transportation and accommodation facilities.
As a foreign trade enterprise specializing in mechanical equipment export, Chongqing Shumao Tong Technology Co., Ltd. attracted much attention at the event. The company conducted multiple rounds of targeted exchanges with Kyrgyz energy equipment purchasers and agricultural product export enterprises. In response to Kyrgyzstan’s demand for equipment for small and medium-sized energy projects, the team of Shumao Tong on-site presented product brochures of Chongqing-manufactured small generators and power distribution equipment (which the company acts as an agent for) and reached a preliminary cooperation intention with Kyrgyz energy enterprise "Green Energy Solutions Company". It is planned to complete the equipment parameter confirmation and quotation process within the next 3 months.
Looking ahead, Chongqing Shumao Tong Technology Co., Ltd. will take this participation as an opportunity to further deepen its layout in the Kyrgyzstan and Central Asian markets: On one hand, it plans to set up a temporary liaison office in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, to connect with the procurement needs of local enterprises in real time and shorten the cooperation response cycle; On the other hand, it will join hands with local mechanical manufacturing and light industry enterprises in Chongqing to integrate resources such as customs declaration, logistics, and finance, providing "one-stop" foreign trade services for more Chongqing small and medium-sized enterprises to enter the Kyrgyz market. At the same time, the company will continue to pay attention to cooperation opportunities in Kyrgyzstan’s agricultural and tourism sectors, explore a two-way trade model of "equipment export + agricultural product import", and help upgrade the economic and trade cooperation between Chongqing and Kyrgyzstan from "single product export" to "full-chain collaboration". In doing so, it will contribute to Chongqing’s construction of an inland opening-up highland and the promotion of Belt and Road economic and trade cooperation as a foreign trade enterprise.
